This comparison of the CamelBak Lobo vs Rogue was written in response to the confusion there seems to be about the differences between the two. Both have an integrated water reservoir which keeps you hydrated as you ride your mountain bike, take a hike, or go for a run.
Both of these Camelbak backpacks have a slim profile that is particularly made to help with ease of movement as you go about your activities. They come included with the HydroGuard technology that eliminates 99.9% of all bacteria inside the reservoir. The reservoirs are made to be filled easily from the outside. There’s also no need to worry about harmful chemicals, as they are 100% BPA-free.
An unexpected advantage to wearing these backpacks is the fact that they can keep your back cool. If you fill these with iced water, the coolness of the water will reach your back and keep your cool for a few hours. Within those few hours, you may drink out of the bladder to keep you hydrated.

The most obvious difference that you might think of is the fact that one of them is bigger than the other. If you know anything about these two backpacks, you also likely know that the Lobo is the largest of the two. Here are the specs:

Rogue:
- Holds 2 liters of water
- Holds 3 liters of gear
While the Rogue holds only 3 liters of gear, it can be expanded to hold a bit more. This is due to the fact that it has stretch elastic side panels. Customers have noted that it does hold more gear than they expected.
Apart from the fact that the Lobo is larger in size, it also has a few design differences. First, although it has a slim profile, it is not as slim as the Rogue. The Rogue is ultra-slim and is not quite as high as the Lobo.

We previously noted above that the Rogue is technically is more durable than the Lobo because it has thicker material. If you’re only going to be using these backpacks for running or biking and are not going to be carrying them through rough terrain, the 70D nylon body of the Lobo may be sufficient. We feel that the deciding factor should be based on the shape and size, as this is where their main differences come from.
The Lobo is twice as large as the Rogue, and holds an extra liter of water. But it also has a larger profile. While the Lobo is small enough, it is especially made for those who want to travel ultralight for a few hours in the day. But even though the Rogue is smaller both are made with the same quality designs, and which you choose depends on the usage that you will be purchasing for.
