These saws along with the 135 all have the same exact engine and every Internal part identical part numbers meaning all three saws are actually the same exact output of 2.4hp ,.and all built on the same body, only differnemce between the 435 and 440 is some 440’s come with an 18″ bar and all 435’s come with a narrow kurf 16″ bar , only difference between 435-440 and the 135 is the 135 has no fuel window gauge or site, and the 135 uses a 3/8″LP mini x
    .050 pitch 16″ bar and an H37 chain that doesn’t cut all to fast or aggresssively. Save your money and buy a 135 if your looking into a 440 and simply switch over to an h35 chain which will be about as aggressive and cut about the same speed as the stock h30 on the 440.
